Breanne & Jarred – Sneak Peek | Jonathon Link Studios | Fort Worth Wedding Videographer

While both of them grew up in Texas, it wasn’t until they both started doing missions work in Haiti that they met and fell in love. Although they now reside in California, they chose to get married back home in Texas at the Ashton Depot.

This was our first time filming at the Ashton Depot – what a great venue for a ceremony, reception or both. The Depot itself is flooded with lots of natural light and Breanne picked bright orange and yellow tones to add to the warm, sunny atmosphere. The details and florals courtesy of Sarahbeth Events and Tami Winn were gorgeous, and fit Breanne & Jarred’s relaxed personalities perfectly.

If you can’t tell from watching the ceremony procession, Breanne & Jarred have A LOT of close friends. And we couldn’t even begin to sum up all of the amazing things people said about these two at their reception. It is clear they both have huge hearts for helping others and there is no doubt their marriage will impact many others.

Breanne and Jarred both have a fun spirit. Breanne surprised Jared by having his classic Corvette Stingray brought all the way from California to Texas for the wedding. They also started the party off with a fun flash mob – which is barely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the crazy dance moves seen at their reception. You can check out a clip of the flash mob below!

Dustin & Valerie – Sneak Peek | Jonathon Link Studios | Fort Worth Wedding Videographer

They both LOVE the beach and they have gorgeous engagement pictures, taken on the beach in Florida. But the more they thought about it, Dustin really wanted his grandparents to be able to attend the wedding. And observing the excitement on his grandparents’ faces at the wedding, we think Valerie and Dustin made the right decision.

Valerie is any only daughter, and from the minute you walked into the Phillip’s house you could tell just how excited her mom was for Valerie’s wedding. The dining room tables were set with color-coordinated table runners and place settings to match the colors of the wedding. Valerie and Dustin’s engagement pictures were spread all throughout the house, along with other wedding and beach trinkets.

Dustin and Valerie’s wedding was our first chance to film at the Piazza in the Village. It’s always nice when everything is right at one place, and your guests don’t have to hop in cars. The Piazza had appetizers out almost as soon as Valerie and Dustin said ‘I Do’. Valerie’s mom helped with designing much of the decor for the reception and it looked amazing.

Chris & Caitlyn – Sneak Peek | Jonathon Link Studios | Dallas Wedding Videographer

Chris was at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburg and Caitlyn was attending dance school in Los Angeles. But as Caitlyn’s dad will tell you, it wasn’t long before cross-country plane tickets started to make a frequent appearance on the credit card statement. However, all those plane tickets turned out to be a solid investment.

This was our first time filming at the Gaylord. Wow – that place in massive. We needed hiking boots and a compass to find the Bridal Suite! But the touch of rustic character provided great atmosphere for the reception (which was super-fun!). Loved Caitlyn’s bridesmaid dresses – something different than the typical, plain-colored dress.

We could go on and on about their reception but we’ll just have to share their reception highlight. Caitlyn’s dad gave such a great speech about both Chris and Caitlyn – it is clear these two were meant to be! Here is just a snippet of the fun, if this gives you any idea – https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=405904916120140&set=vb.107970262580275&type=2&theater

This was also our first time shooting with Tracy Autem – you can see some of Chris and Caitlyn’s pics here and here.

Kathleen & Justin – Sneak Peek | Jonathon Link Studios | Fort Worth Wedding Videographer

We knew Justin played in a band, and they were going to play at the reception, but we weren’t sure quite what kind of band to expect. We didn’t really get a “goth” vibe at our initial consultation. 80’s rock cover band? No, his hair is too short. Emo? Again – no visible eyeliner and no skinny jeans. Country? Possibly. The wedding was going to be in Fort Worth after all.

As soon as we showed up to Justin’s room, he and all the groomsmen already had out their trumpets, guitars and saxophones – playing away. Justin and all the groomsmen got dressed . . .only to half-way UNdress. We promise you that particular picture was their idea, not ours. That was definitely an interesting – and yes, fun – way to start filming!

Kathleen and her sisters are so sweet. Their prep room was so laid back, but I think all the emotions starts to hit Kathleen as soon as she got into her wedding dress. It was so cute to see just how excited both Kathleen and Justin were to see each other.

Kathleen’s borth-in-law, Brandon, also officated Kelsey and Cameron’s wedding last summer. He claims he doesn’t know what he’s doing but I highly disagree – his messages are always great, touching, funny and well-delivered. At this point we’ve heard quite a few wedding sermons/messages, and I’m always a little bummed when there is no personal touch included in it for the couple. Brandon did a great job of incorporating Kathleen and Justin’s love of music.

And the reception did not disappoint – the band was awesome and everyone was having a fun time jamming’ out. Justin made many appearances to join the band on stage – on several instruments, as well as singing. Seeing what a live band – especially a GOOD live band – does for a reception, I SO wish we would have hired one for our wedding. It’s just so much easier to keep the party going when you have live music.

We had a great time shooting along side Jamie Harper. She was so fun and super laid-back. Hopefully we can work together again soon 🙂 (You should tell her she really needs to move to Dallas.)

Matthew & Samantha – Sneak Peek | Jonathon Link Studios | Dallas Wedding Videographer

Two things had me pretty instantly sold: Jennefer Wilson Photography and Stoneleigh Hotel. We’ve done a few weddings with Jennefer now – including one in Jamaica – and she’s just always a treat to work with. And we love shooting at the Stoneleigh. I have daydreams that I live in the top floor – it has so much character and charm, and I adore the way each room has a completely different look and feel.

What I didn’t know is how much I was going to get attached to Samantha and Matthew. They are both quiet and gentle, yet so sweet to each other – and both just filled with such integrity. I love the way Matthew looks at Samantha, and the way he carefully watches out for her – it’s so cute. And when your husband surprises you with Christian Louboutin heels on your wedding day, you know you’ve chosen well! Could not be more honored Matthew and Samantha asked us to film their wedding.

Every wedding comes with a little surprise for us and at this one it was a confident teenager. I have been asked to dance at weddings, and I have been the videographer at weddings – but those two things have never overlapped until Samantha’s little brother asked me to dance at the reception. Well, I wasn’t quite sure how to respond to that, but I politely obliged and he was a very nice dancer.

You can see some of Jennefer’s awesome pics from Samantha and Matthew’s wedding by clicking here.
