Jon and I usually try to give ourselves a pretty good time buffer to start our wedding day filming so we don’t have to show up and start rushing right off the bat . . . but I would say Megan and Tyler’s wedding day was easily one of the most relaxed we’ve filmed. This was also our first wedding at the Milestone, which is a pretty nice all-in-one location if you’re having a smaller wedding.
If your wife gives you Black Ops 2 as your day-of wedding gift, you know you are winning in the wife department. The guys wasted no time testing it out. Tyler had some pretty great one-liners throughout his entire getting-ready process, by my favorite is his first reaction to looking in the mirror and seeing himself in his tux: “I look like a frickin’ funeral director.” I would have to disagree – he looked very nice – but that gave me a good chuckle.
It was a little rainy the day of their wedding (and Jennefer and Jon will tell you it got A LOT rainy right when Megan and Tyler were about to do their final exit) so we stayed on the back porch for pictures. It worked out perfect and everything looked so classy and natural, not that that was difficult with these two. Megan and Tyler chose to do a first look, which worked out great for the this location. They did ALL their portraits before the ceremony – so as soon as they walked down the aisle it was party time 🙂
Always a good time working with photographer Jennefer Hutto. Fun attitude and great eye for making the best of any situation. She recently wrote an excellent blog post on prepping your budget for photography and videography – I strongly encourage you to check it out. Very thoughtful and based on her own experiences from her wedding last fall. http://jenneferwilson.com/wedding-photography-cost-budget-and-expectations/
